Most people avoid the dreaded Whitechapel district. For Honoria Todd, it's the last safe haven. But at what price?
Blade is known as the master of the rookeries—no one dares cross him. It's been said he faced down the Echelon's army single-handedly, that ever since being infected by the blood-craving he's been quicker, stronger, and almost immortal.
When Honoria shows up at his door, his tenuous control comes close to snapping. She's so...innocent. He doesn't see her backbone of steel—or that she could be the very salvation he's been seeking.
Kiss of Steel is the first book in Bec McMaster’s London Steampunk series. Kiss of Steel is a beautiful and addictive story. With characters that you are drawn to and a story line that won’t let you go, it is an all around addictive read. Steamy chemistry adds to the depth of this story and Bec McMaster pulled the layers together in an artistic way. Honoria was a force by herself. You meet this character amid a terrible struggle of poverty after a situation forces her to provide for younger siblings. In a world where status is everything and you pay in blood for protection, will she be able to shed herself from preconceived beliefs? Great character chemistry between Blade, the scariest man in the Whitechaple district, and Honoria keep you feverishly turning pages. I cannot wait to see what will happen next! Kiss of Steel is high romance and is not on the sci-fi end of Steampunk. This would be a great read for any Historical Romance or Paranormal Romance fan as well!
I rate Kiss of Steel 5 out of 5 Bullets!
