In the mysterious world of Harmony, there are places filled with unexplored marvels. But Rainshadow Island isn’t about to give up its secrets…

In the alien catacombs of Rainshadow, there are creatures whose compelling songs lure the unwary to their death. That’s why Rafe Coppersmith, hired to clear out the catacombs for exploration, needs a music talent. He’s knows the perfect one, but she probably doesn’t want anything do with him...

Ella Morgan had once fallen hard and fast for Rafe, but then he disappeared for months…and he’s not about to tell her why. Ella, too, has secrets that only her dust bunny knows. She’s not just a music talent, she’s a Siren: a paranormal singer capable of singing men to sleep—or to their deaths.

But once on Rainshadow, Rafe and Ella will learn that surrendering to passion doesn’t come without risks—and fighting fire with fire only adds to the flame…
Review

Siren’s Call is Jayne Castle‘s fourth book in her Rainshadow series. Set in a fascinating world, Siren’s Call pulled me in and didn’t let me go!

Siren’s Call is actually the first book I have read by this author and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Set in a unique world where aliens are no longer present, but their mark remains sets an intriguing setting for this story. With fascinating imagery being alluring in its own right, it is not the only strong aspect in this book. Outside the brilliant world building are equally enjoyable characters.

Ella’s personality and secretive lifestyle made her a real and likable protagonist. Her insight and strengths played off of Rafe’s situation and together they created a dynamic joining of three parts action and one part romance. A great recipe for consistant page turning and late night readings! Ella should also be awarded The Most Original side-kick ever award, a dust bunny! How do I get mine?

I enjoyed Siren’s Call so much that I will be picking this series up from book 1!  This is a must read for urban fantasy and paranormal romance lovers!

I rate Siren’s Call 4.5 out of 5 Bullets!

Dust bunny? Now that is new! So even though this was book 4, it was fine reading out of order? I’ve never read Jayne Castle either, but I’ve heard a lot of good things!

I didn’t feel lost at all so I would say picking up this book first shouldn’t interfere with the enjoyment. That being said – I am going to go back and read the previous books just because I really liked the world building.
