Look at him... she's determined to wipe that gorgeous smirk off his face!
Alien Warrior Guardian Dragon & Gryphon Shifters Live Among us.
Discover what happens when a fight over the last holiday pie turns into a hilarious showdown between a stubborn young dragon and an even more stubborn harpy--who turns out to be his mate. Take a journey into the realm of the Dragofin Clan of Guardian Warriors. They Guard our world, while their mates steal their hearts.
Hildegard (Hildy) Newton is a lot of things, patient and sweet isn’t one of them. They don’t fit into her life or career as a highly trained assassin. So, when a rude ridiculously gorgeous guy tries to take a pie from her at a grocery store, there’s no way she’s going to let him get away with it. Even if it is the Holiday Season.
Not sure if she’s even human, the one thing Hildy wants, is to experience what it feels like to have a family and know the love of others. That’s not so easy when she has the ability to sprout wings and grow predator talons. Keeping it simple, Hildy wants one thing to help her experience her dream—a sweet potato pie.
Ajax (Jax) Drake, the dragonling youngest brother of a guardian race of dragon shifters, is not ready for the warrior fight he’s up against when a woman refuses to let go of his holiday pie. Intrigue and attraction drive him to push her as far as he can. When fate brings them back together, Jax counts on his dragon-blood wisdom to follow his hunch about this alluring woman.
Fun, fights, and a little frolicking ensue as these two find their Happy Harpy Holiday.
Ajax’s Harpy Holiday is the first book in Mychal Daniels Dragofin Clan Mated series. Ajax’s Harpy Holiday is a fun, original and entertaining read.
Don’t pass this book up just because of the Holiday theme. I would have enjoyed this book any ‘ole time of the year, especially since I am sure a lot of us can relate to the holiday struggle of being alone, or lonely, at any point in time.
Ajax’s Harpy Holiday falls on the sci-fi or fantasy side of dragons and gryphons, and although one would expect a funny and quick read, it truly was deeper than this reader was expecting. The author lays out some great groundwork for future books and I am really interested to see what comes next. The diversity of characters added depth to the story. Hildy is a hoot to read about. Her character is a little dark and damaged, yet her personality is bright and independent.
If you are looking for a new world to dip your toe into, try out Ajax’s Harpy Holiday (Dragonfin Mated, #1)
