All they need is a touch of harmony…
Harmony Neutron’s new assignment brings her to Magic, New Mexico, where a devastating threat looms over the town. Her mission goes from bad to worse when she is forced to confront her greatest fear – of animals! She is sure that some cosmic force is laughing at her when she discovers that her Chosen One is none other than Chase Bishop – a werewolf.
Chase has been the unfortunate subject of his two best friends’ unsuccessful attempts at matchmaking. Determined to stop their meddling in his life, he is shocked when a woman from the stars appears – and changes everything. Unfortunately, recognizing the woman is his mate does nothing to calm her fears of his werewolf.
Frustrated and helpless, Chase does the unthinkable and asks for assistance from a powerful witch to help ease Harmony’s fear of his animal side. He doesn’t have much time to convince her they belong together. A rogue governmental agency is after Harmony and determined to catch her at any cost. Will the spell give Harmony the time she needs to accept that their love is real, she can trust him, and he would never hurt her – before it is too late?

A Touch of Harmony by Evelyn Lederman is part of the Magic, New Mexico Universe. This universe has several different authors writing about the same area and this is the first book I have read within it, but I own several.
A Touch of Harmony starts out a bit choppy. The first chapter or two I struggled to read at an even pace, but it seemed to level out to a smooth read. Once the book smoothed out, I was quickly pulled into the story. The mixture of alien races, space travel, witches and shifters is simplified enough to easily understand the world rules, without feeling like I was trying to study for a physics exam. That being said, the world had enough substance to create reasons for the varying beings to have just reasons for their actions.
Harmony Neutron is fairly closed up and has her reasons. I enjoyed her internal struggle and the fact that Lederman created reasons for her internal conflicts. Instead of the normal “pushing” away from her interests in Chase, the book flows into a sweet and steamy connection.
Conflicts and struggles felt justified and I became more curious about the other books in this series. I would recommend this book to those that love a little something different, that can still be enjoyed and consumed in a shorter amount of time.
Side note – keep your eyes peeled for a giveaway (with free book) from this author coming soon!!
Additionally – Evelyn Lederman will be attending Literary Love Savannah in July! I will be there as well and tickets are currently still for sale for this great READER based convention! Click the graphic for ticket and convention information!
