Book Review: Wicked Ever After by Delilah S. Dawson

Book Review: Wicked Ever After by Delilah S. Dawson

Wicked Ever After is the fourth book in Delilah S. Dawson’s Blud series. This steampunk paranormal mix-up is set in a beautifully dark and unique world, but this installment left me a bit uneasy. Dawson did something that is not regularly done in paranormal romance. Wicked Ever After tied up not only the HEA, but their future was laid out as well. I cannot say TOO much about that without revealing spoilers galore. Book Review: Repossessed by Shawntelle Madison

Book Review: Repossessed by Shawntelle Madison

Repossessed by Shawntelle Madison is the first book in her Warlock Repo Man Chronicles.  Repossessed takes place in an unknown community of witches, warlocks, and wizards in modern day New York City. Repossessed started off by capturing me in Tessa’s world.  Tessa is a new matchmaker trying to follow in her grandmothers footsteps – lets face it – being a matchmaker for this underground community of magic users is going to be a challenge.  Madison does a great job placing the humor in the story line, but something just fell flat with everything else.  At times I felt that things… Read more »

Book Review: Blood Avenged (Sons of Navarus #1) by Gabrielle Bisset

Book Review: Blood Avenged (Sons of Navarus #1) by Gabrielle Bisset

Blood Avenged – the first book in Gabrielle Bisset’s Sons of Navarus series is an Erotic Paranormal that was chosen for my local book club. I have to say that I expected to really enjoy this book, but It just did not jive with me.  Vasilije is an ancient vampire.  After one of his vampires are killed he travels to New Orleans and meets Sasa.  Sasa has done anything and everything to save her mother, but ends up an empath in a vampires world. I have very direct points on why I am rating this book so low.  A couple… Read more »

Book Review: A Captain and a Corset (Steam Guardians #2) by Mary Wine

Book Review I have to admit that I was surprised how hard A Captain and a Corset was for me to read.  I often felt like I was stuck in a cliche world leaving me quite confused.  The characters seemed well written, but just didn’t have the spark and flare that normally keeps me completely engaged in the story. Bion Donkova and Sophia Stevenson try to deny their attraction to one another, but it is impossible.  They come from very different worlds and I had a little bit of a hard time accepting that the Guardian’s views on gender and… Read more »
