A Tale of Two Djinns by Mina Khan is a sexy and fun novella.  Full of fascinating landscapes and original ideas! The flow of the story paired with a beautiful uniqueness made for a pleasant and entertaining read.  This novella is a story about two Djinns from opposing Djinn clans.  After an interesting night and more surprising morning, the shenanigans really begin.  Maya and Akshay are each very well developed characters full of personality and individuality.  I didn’t enjoy Maya’s inability… Read more »

Book Review: The Darkest Touch by Gena Showalter

Book Review: The Darkest Touch by Gena Showalter

Disclaimer:  I am completely guilty of not reading any of the previous books in the Lords of the Underworld series.  This review could have unintentional spoilers of previous titles in the series. I am of two minds about The Darkest Touch.  Both sides of me really, and I mean REALLY, loved the Red Queen.  She is nuts and a total egomaniac.  Still loved her character.   There was a sort of charisma about her character that just appealed to me.  I am… Read more »

Audiobook Review: The Snow Queen by Michael Cunningham

Book Review: Silence of the Wolf by Terry Spear

Silence of the Wolf is Terry Spear‘s 13th installment in her Heart of the Wolf series.  Don’t let this discourage you if you are thinking about picking up this book.  It can be read as a stand alone – Spears is truly a master at weaving each book into its own story while adding something to the overall series. Silence of the Wolf focuses on Tom Silver and Elizabeth.  These two very different personalities did come together with a sweet… Read more »

Book Review: Turned (The Belladonna Agency #1) by Virna DePaul

Turned by Virna DePaul is hard for me to review. Don’t get me wrong I really liked the characters and I can see this is the first book in the Belladonna Agency Series and background is always a must. Also the scenes between Ty and Ana will surly steam your windows up!  There is just some small part of me that felt the plot got a little soft at the end.  Then again I felt this was more about Ty… Read more »
