Review: Casey’s Warriors (Bondmates #1) by Ann Mayburn

Review: Casey’s Warriors (Bondmates #1) by Ann Mayburn

Casey’s Warriors by Ann Mayburn is the first book in her Bondmates series.  I will be anxiously waiting the second installment in this series and cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this dirty sci-fi! Casey’s Warriors will not be for the faint at heart.  Classified as a M/M/F I was curious how much story would be involved in this book.  Wow.  I was blown away.  (haha – get your mind out of the gutter bitches) The story and world building was just phenomenal.   Casey’s Warriors is one sexier than hell book with so much going for it, but sex… Read more »

Review: Tempted by a Rogue Prince by Felicity Heaton

Review: Tempted by a Rogue Prince by Felicity Heaton

Tempted by a Rogue Prince is Felicity Heaton’s third installment in her Eternal Mates series.  I have reviewed all of this series so far and you can click on the series above to see the reviews of the other reviews in the Eternal Mates books. Tempted by a Rogue Prince is certainly the darkest out of the three released titles so far.  If you have not read the first two, I believe it could become overwhelming to have an understanding of why and how Vail is who he is.  Without that understanding many of the scenes in this book could be harder… Read more »

Audiobook Review: Shattered (The Iron Druid Chronicles) by Kevin Hearne

Audiobook Review: Shattered (The Iron Druid Chronicles) by Kevin Hearne

Shattered by Kevin Hearne is the 7th installment in the Iron Druid Chronicles Series.  Hearne has grown in his ability to add multiple layers and multiple point of view, a great new aspect! In Shattered we visited two main stories and one back story kind of wrapping around and tickling us.  Maybe inappropriately.  No, not really.  Just making sure you are paying attention.  Story line one was focused on Atticus and his archdruid, Owen Kennedy.  Owen Kennedy swiftly became a favorite secondary character. Kennedy was completely naive to all modern speak, technology, and living – he was like an inappropriate baby…. Read more »

Book Review: Love Potions by Michelle M. Pillow

Book Review: Love Potions by Michelle M. Pillow

Love Potions by Michelle M. Pillow is the first book in her Warlocks MacGregor series.  I was pleasantly surprised by the lighthearted humor and great characters. Love Potions pulled me in from the beginning.   The writing felt relaxed and smooth.  This aspect combined with well defined characters made this a really great read.  The family dynamic of the MacGregors and reading about their shenanigans was a lot of fun and supported my theory that when siblings get together they will be eternally immature.  Lydia Barratt really just wanted to remain in her home alone and running her online business,… Read more »

Book Review: Shield of Winter (Psy-Changeling #13) by Nalini Singh

Please note that this review is intended for people that have read this series.  Although, I attempted to keep it mostly spoiler free, some basic plot points might be revealed if you are have not read the previous installments in the Psy-Changeling series.  You have been warned.   Shield of Winter is Nalini Singh‘s newest installment in her Psy-Changeling series.  Shield of Winter is Vasic’s story and we are all dying to know what is going to happen now that Silence is broken. Singh has done an astonishing  job of writing the best back stories of any series I have… Read more »

Book Review: It Never Ends by Jhada Rogue Addams

Book Review: It Never Ends by Jhada Rogue Addams

It Never Ends by Jhada Rogue Addams is the first book in her The Vengeance Cycle series.  With a dark gritty feel  – this was a fascinating read. It is so hard to compare It Never Ends to anything I have yet to read.  Maybe if you mixed some Anne Rice and George R. R. Martin DNA you would start to have a basis for where the book stands.  When I was trying to describe this book to my friend I said it was dark and somehow funny at the same time.  She asked, “Like Game of Thrones?”  LOL YES.  Seriously….
