Review of Bright Side by Kim Holden

Review of Bright Side by Kim Holden

SO EPIC!  I am not an emotional person.  I mean I do have my moments but overall, nope, not emotional.  This book was everything that I can ever hope to have in a book.  I laughed, I got mad, and I cried.  Kim Holden takes you on a fantastic ride with the life of Kate. I have recommended this book to anyone and every one and will continue to do so because I loved it that much.  I can’t wait to read more from this author and I am officially a Bright Side fan.    I rated Bright Side 5 out of 5… Read more »

Book Review: Black Spring by Christina Henry

Book Review: Black Spring by Christina Henry

Every single time I open a book in this series I think “Man, what will Maddie get into this time?”.   Then every single time I start reading it never fails that there is always an adventure to be had with the characters.  This one was a little bitter sweet though because it is the very last one ever in the series.  Let me just say that I am going to miss this series and its characters and I will most definitely have to read these again so that I can have my Beezle fix! I will say that trouble… Read more »

Book Review: The Iron Duke (Iron Seas #1) by Meljean Brook

Book Review: The Iron Duke (Iron Seas #1) by Meljean Brook

The Iron Duke is Meljean Brook‘s first title in her Iron Seas Series.  Brook’s does a phenomenal job in both character and world development.  The combination of grit and romance came together like fire and ice for a beautiful combination.  I loved the Iron Duke on so many different levels that I am sure this review is going to sound a little gushy.  =) I connected with the lead character, Mina Wentworth right from the start.  She was smart, strong, and just purely accepting of who she was, no matter how different.  Brooks describes amazing technologies with a grungy… Read more »

Book Review: The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison

Book Review: The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison

The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison is the 12th book in The Hollows series.  If you ask me, I think it might be the best installment yet!  My favorite witch/day-walking demon is trying hard to stay out of trouble, but when you are Rachel Morgan that is a hard mission to accomplish. All of the cast is back in action and character growth is vibrant, making  The Undead Pool the best book YET of The Hallows series.  Although I love this series, Rachel was never a favorite.  This has all changed.  Her acceptance of who she is has come to… Read more »

Book Review: Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews

Book Review: Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews

~My Review~ Magic Rises is the newest release by Ilona Andrews in the Kate Daniels series.  If you have not read this series yet – I advise you to go pick it up …right now!  Many times the anticipation of a new book in my favorite series gets me so damn excited I think I expect too much.  Magic Rises did NOT let me down, it surpassed any expectation I might have had. Ilona Andrews has a talent for making you feel like you are part of the world Kate lives in and even part of the story.  I teared… Read more »
