Audiobook Review: No Such Thing as Werewolves by Chris Fox

Audiobook Review: No Such Thing as Werewolves by Chris Fox

No Such Thing as Werewolves by Chris Fox is the first book in his Deathless series. This audiobook was a truly wonderful surprise. My brain was not quite ready to process the awesome it was receiving. Hey! I was caught off-guard! It is true. I loved this book. I kind of suspected a bit of mediocreness all the way around, but that is what I get for assuming. In all fairness (so this doesn’t sound like I am saying this was peeerrrfffecccctttt) the beginning was a little slow and pieces of it took a bit to fall into place. OK, so… Read more »

Book Review: Ritual Magic by Eileen Wilks

Book Review: Ritual Magic by Eileen Wilks

Ritual Magic by Eileen Wilks is the 10th book in the World of the Lupi series. Ritual Magic adds to this series deep and intricate storyline and character building, but doesn’t stop there. Ritual Magic just seems to make it clear how much smarter some people are than others. (I am talking about me here….) Wilks’ ability to layer absolutely amazingly complicated world rules is beyond my level of understanding, when talking about the creation of them. However, Wilks allows her characters to show you as they teach each other about these unknown magics and rules with various gods. If… Read more »

Book Review: River Wolf by Heather Long

Book Review: River Wolf by Heather Long

River Wolf by Heather Long is the 7th book in the Wolves of Willow Bend series. River Wolf focuses on Brett Dalton, Alpha of Hudson River. River Wolf takes a step outside of Willow Bend, but still tied in beautifully with the series. The Hudson River pack has close ties to Willow Bend and I really enjoyed learning more about Brett. Not going to lie here..Brett was kind of an instant love for me and I was SUPER excited that he received his own book. Brett has suffered so much loss in his pack and his story is truly… Read more »

Book Review: A Mansion, A Drag Queen, and a New Job by CC Dragon

Book Review: A Mansion, A Drag Queen, and a New Job by CC Dragon

A Mansion, A Drag Queen, and A New Job is the first book in C.C. Dragon‘s Deanna Oscar Paranormal Mystery series. This paranormal mystery read like a cozy and was an overall fun read. A Mansion, A Drag Queen, and A New Job started out a bit slow, but picked up into a nice and enjoyable read. Deanna Oscar was a lovable character that always seemed to remain true to herself, if a bit confused about what exactly that meant at times. With a fantastic cast of secondary characters always mixing things up it was a great introduction into the… Read more »

Book Review: Untamed Wolf by Heather Long

Book Review: Untamed Wolf by Heather Long

Untamed Wolf by Heather Long is the 6th book in the Wolves of Willow Bend series. This series remains one of my favorites this year. With great storylines and wonderfully executed happily ever afters, the Wolves of Willow Bend series is one you do not want to miss. Untamed Wolf focuses on the Willow Bend hunter, Dylan and one of the new pack’s members, Chrystal. Long always manages to add a new touch of originality to each book in this series and I just never know what is coming. I loved both of these characters WAY more than I thought… Read more »

Book Review: Magic Shifts by Ilona Andrews

Book Review: Magic Shifts by Ilona Andrews

Magic Shifts by Ilona Andrews is the 8th book in the Kate Daniels series. It is no secret this is a favorite series of mine, but if you are a follower of this blog you should know that I tend to expect the same kind of quality throughout the series that made me fall in love at day one. Magic Shifts not only lived up to my expectations, it surpassed them! The love, the laughter and the action. A recipe for pure AWESOME. **May contain some spoilers to previous titles, but I tried to keep it as spoiler-free as possible and… Read more »
