Therefore, critics argue that Lottery is actually a disguised tax on those who can least afford it.<\/p>\n
Despite these issues, Lottery continues to be a popular pastime. As a result, it contributes billions of dollars in government receipts. Those dollars could be better spent on education, health, and retirement.
