Book Review: Kodiak’s Claim by Eve Langlais

Book Review: Kodiak’s Claim by Eve Langlais

Kodiak’s Claim is book 1 in Eve Langlais’ Kodiak Point series.  This paranormal romance filled with shifter awesomeness and everything I enjoy in my PNR. Kodiak’s Claim is the definition of a page turner.  With a fast paced story line, quick witted humor, and a sweet happily ever after – Kodiak’s Claim hit the mark. The conflict between Tammy and Reid was just a lot of fun to read.  Tammy is supposed to be working a job in BFE Alasksa, and she works more than just the job while she is there!  I really did adore Reid’s personality especially coupled with his… Read more »

Book Review: Hunted by a Jaguar by Felicity Heaton

Book Review: Hunted by a Jaguar by Felicity Heaton

Felicity Heaton should be outlawed!  Her writing is addictive, sensual, and Hunted by a Jaguar is one of the best escapes from reality I have had in a long time.  Heaton’s ability to pull you into the story apparently made some great entertainment for the family as my husband pointed out how much and often my face changes while I was reading Hunted by a Jaguar.  I am sure it does!  When I pick up this series I am preparing myself for a full submersion into the world and characters created by this author. Hunted by a Jaguar is the 4th book… Read more »

Book Review: The Darkest Touch by Gena Showalter

Book Review: The Darkest Touch by Gena Showalter

Disclaimer:  I am completely guilty of not reading any of the previous books in the Lords of the Underworld series.  This review could have unintentional spoilers of previous titles in the series. I am of two minds about The Darkest Touch.  Both sides of me really, and I mean REALLY, loved the Red Queen.  She is nuts and a total egomaniac.  Still loved her character.   There was a sort of charisma about her character that just appealed to me.  I am sure this says something about me so judge away.   The story about her and Torin is well written and the… Read more »

Book Review: Ready to Were by Robyn Peterman

Book Review: Ready to Were by Robyn Peterman

Ready to Were is book 1 in Robyn Peterman’s Shift Happens series.  This is the first book I have read from Robyn Peterman and I was tickled by her clever writing and humor. Not going to lie, this book had some great laugh-out-loud moments.   I loved the brilliantly designed characters and the conflict felt smooth.  Peterman dishes out the story like a sous chef and the result is delicious!    The chemistry between the main ccharacters Hank and Essie is really great and I love the twist on their relationship. Ready to Were also has a brilliant cast of secondary characters…. Read more »

Book Review: Wolf Claim by Heather Long

Book Review: Wolf Claim by Heather Long

Wolf Claim is Heather Long‘s third installment in her Wolves of Willow Bend series.  Wolf Claim broadens our knowledge of other packs as well as the dynamic between the healers and their pack.  A great installment in this new paranormal series! Long’s writing is addictive.  The worlds flow with smooth consistency, like buttah.  Her story telling truly does make you feel like part of this world and I don’t want to leave.  So much so, I wanted to seriously kick this hero in the nuts.  Maybe repeatedly.  He was a flippin’ man idiot.  The flip side is the healer heroine.  She… Read more »

Book Review: Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews

Book Review: Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews

Burn for Me is Ilona Andrew’s first installment in the Hidden Legacy Series.  Honestly, if you don’t know who this husband/wife team is, you need to come forward and present yourself to the COUNSEL OF WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?  Their previous Urban Fantasy series will forever remain one of my all time favorites and are definitely in the reread category. And now onto to this new Series!      Burn for Me is a fantastic story.  I loved the dynamic Nevada had with her family and reading about all of the different personalities under one roof made me long for that kind… Read more »
