Review: Wolf Bite by Heather Long

Review: Wolf Bite by Heather Long

Wolf Bite is Heather Long‘s first installment in her Wolves of Willow Bend series.  Wolf Bite started out and ended with greatness. Long did a fantastic job starting and ending this first book.  Series starters are always so difficult for this reviewer. Mostly because I am trying to learn a new world while completing a complete story.  I think she did a great job at both. I enjoyed the chemistry between Mason and Alexis.  Especially trying to figure out, not only the complexity of their history, but the pack dynamic as well. Wolf Bite certainly focused on Mason and Alexis,… Read more »

Book Review: Love Potions by Michelle M. Pillow

Book Review: Love Potions by Michelle M. Pillow

Love Potions by Michelle M. Pillow is the first book in her Warlocks MacGregor series.  I was pleasantly surprised by the lighthearted humor and great characters. Love Potions pulled me in from the beginning.   The writing felt relaxed and smooth.  This aspect combined with well defined characters made this a really great read.  The family dynamic of the MacGregors and reading about their shenanigans was a lot of fun and supported my theory that when siblings get together they will be eternally immature.  Lydia Barratt really just wanted to remain in her home alone and running her online business,… Read more »

Audiobook Review: Honeymoon Bite by Sharon Hamilton

Audiobook Review: Honeymoon Bite by Sharon Hamilton

Honeymoon Bite by Sharon Hamilton is the first book in her series, the Golden Vampires of Tuscany.  This paranormal romance focuses on a traumatized bride and an unusual solo honeymoon that changes her life. Reviews like this are painful for this reviewer.  No joke.  I finished this audiobook several weeks ago and I knew it was going to be a tough review, but I have to fight through and persevere to maintain what I want to this site to be about. Honesty.  And I honestly did not like Honeymoon Bite. I think that the general story line was a great… Read more »

Book Review: A Fistful of Dreams (Fevered Hearts #4) by Heather Long

Book Review: A Fistful of Dreams (Fevered Hearts #4) by Heather Long

A Fistful of Dreams is the fourth book in Heather Long‘s Fevered Hearts Series.  This is quickly becoming a favorite series of mine and with a unique mixture of genres I think any historical, romance, fantasy, or hell…anyone who likes romance would love this series! To me, A Fistful of Dreams epitomizes what is so great about the universe of self-publishing.  Undefined by one genre label, Long’s voice is a pleasure to read and the editing is flawless.   The ability to make you feel like the story is being unraveled instead of being pushed onto you is a talent… Read more »

Book Review: Storm Force by Susannah Sandlin

Book Review: Storm Force by Susannah Sandlin

Storm Force by Susannah Sandlin was originally released in episodes as a Kindle Serial.  Storm Force is now available as a complete book.  I personally purchased Storm Force as a complete book. Sandlin can always pull me into a story, and Storm Force was no exception.  With a diverse cast of unique characters and one über terrible villain, Storm Force was a great paranormal page turner. Jack “Kell” Kellison added a new element to her writing.  With all of her previous books many of the characters have had some type of power, but now we get to see a hero that is a… Read more »
