Book Review ~ Shadow’s Bane by Karen Chance

Book Review ~ Shadow’s Bane by Karen Chance

Shadow’s Bane is the 4th book in Karen Chance’s Midnight Daughter (or Dorina Basarab) series. With a 5 year break since the last book, I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I first received an email about the opportunity to read Shadow’s Bane, I felt a moment of panic. Have I missed keeping up with this series? Did something happen that I forgot about? I decided to ignore my crazy thoughts and just into the book. It didn’t take too… Read more »

Combining the levels of enjoyment of each of these things, is probably what defines one’s level of good during a certain time period. Money is also always a factor, when discussing conventions or anything else, for that matter. So, a good time could be formulated to each individual based on all of those factors. Mine runs on some form… Read more »

Book Review: Wicked Ever After by Delilah S. Dawson

Book Review: Wicked Ever After by Delilah S. Dawson

Wicked Ever After is the fourth book in Delilah S. Dawson’s Blud series. This steampunk paranormal mix-up is set in a beautifully dark and unique world, but this installment left me a bit uneasy. Dawson did something that is not regularly done in paranormal romance. Wicked Ever After tied up not only the HEA, but their future was laid out as well. I cannot say TOO much about that without revealing spoilers galore. Dawson touched on Tish’s inability to reproduce in… Read more »

Audiobook Review: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Audiobook Review: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is her first book in the Outlander series.  It is normally tagged as Romance/Historical/Fantasy.  2 out of the 3 tags confuse the crap out of me and this might be one of the harder reviews I have ever had to write.  Seriously. Apparently, this review needs actual discussion points. So let me start with the writing.  There are many and it is entirely in first person.  800+ pages in first person is a lot.  That being… Read more »
