A card that improves your poker hand by forming another one is called a \u201chit.\u201d For example, if you have pocket 7\u2019s and the flop is 7-6-2, you now have a straight. If the last card on the river is a 7, you\u2019ve been counterfeited, as a pair of sevens beats your straight.<\/p>\n
